Planning: We offer comprehensive financial planning
to individuals, families and businesses. Our goal is to educate clients
and put them in control of their financial future. Life changes often
and your financial plan must be flexible. We have the ability to develop
extremely complex software driven financial planning plan documents;
however, we’ve found that simple works best.
Investment Management:
As a Registered Investment Advisor, we have the ability to offer
a wide range of investment options. We are in the business of providing
objective investment advice. Our
fees are based on a percentage of the assets we manage and are competitive.
We offer institutional class shares of mutual funds, exchange traded
funds, equities and bonds.
Retirement Planning: Most of our clients are
retired or nearing retirement. We coach people through the difficult
choices involved in making the transition to retired life. Retirement
planning is not a science, it’s an art. Every situation is
unique and we will truly listen to help our clients understand the
issues and make informed decisions about their future.
Life Insurance Planning:
Scott Mann is a licensed life and health insurance agents for a
number of top rated companies. He provides our clients expert guidance
in selecting appropriate life insurance coverage. Our clients have
the option of implementing a life insurance plan with Scott, or simply paying for the advice and taking action on the
plan elsewhere. We routinely advise clients regarding term life
insurance and permanent life insurance such as Universal Life or
Whole Life. We work with trust administrators to give guidance on
policies within irrevocable life insurance trusts and provide “inforce”
support. We have extensive experience in dealing with universal
life policies purchased in the mid 1980’s and early 1990’s
that are no longer performing as illustrated. There are a number
of products on the marketplace today to help “rescue”
old policies that are underperforming.
Estate Planning: The
phrase “estate planning” has become a euphemism for
“let me sell you a bunch of life insurance” rather than
true estate planning. This is not our objective. This area of financial
planning is only for those who have more than $2 million under current
regulations. In most cases, with a “tax wise” will,
this amount doubles for a married couple. While there is great uncertainty
regarding the legislative changes that must occur in the near future,
it is our opinion that some form of estate tax will continue to
exist. Allow us to develop a plan for you or to review your current
plan document and ensure that assets will transfer as you had initially
planned. Our focus is to transfer assets with the least amount of
“transfer cost” possible.
